365 days to better photography

Day 82

March 23, 2011

Today after toddler class Blake and I went over to the Butterfly Pavilion.  I took very few pictures of the actual butterflies since the flowers are more in bloom.

This is the caterpillar that will become an owl butterfly.

I don’t think I’ve noticed any birds before today. They were running the misters today which was leaving beautiful droplets of water on these gigantic leaves.  Unfortunately, I had my camera set to a high (noisy) ISO  for the first few shots.  I tried to salvage the first one by converting it to black and white.

For this last one I realized what was going on and bumped my ISO back down.
