Blake has been begging to go fishing. It’s the first thing he asks as soon as he wakes up in the morning. We decided to drive up to Gross Reservoir.
I made Aaron stop to take pictures at the train tracks

We spent the evening at the local lake.

Today is not going to be wordy because I really need to get to bed. Blake and I are meeting with the preschool director tomorrow to tour the school (I really can’t believe it’s almost time for my baby to start preschool).
I talked Aaron into helping and got some fun shots earlier this evening. The shadows were his idea. The failed silhouettes were mine. The amazing joy our child finds in chasing me with a shovel full of sand humbles me.
Oh and the moon was pretty and Blake told it good-bye when we left the park.

I went for a quick walk this afternoon. I was hoping for some cloud cover but it was sunny and windy.

This was my view at the rec center today. It was about 15 degrees. Tomorrow’s high is predicted to be -2! It’s just a little bit different than it was exactly a week ago on Day 24. I wish today and every day was more like Day 28.
In other news I’ve made it an entire month!!! (only 11 more to go)

Have I mentioned how much the weather and sunshine affect my mood because they really really do. Today was an amazingly beautiful 65 degree day! The babe and I walked/rode his tricycle over to the park. A few of the kids shared their kites. It was so much fun!

I went for a walk today while Blake napped (Aaron obviously stayed home). I went over by the retirement community near my home. Here’s what it looks like in the early Spring. I climbed down in the canal which is filled with water during the summer but was almost empty today. The ice was melting quickly.
When I climbed back out the wind was blowing fiercely.
I took a different route home and the view of the mountains was clear
Someone tied a ribbon to a tree by the path.
