Playing at the shopping centers playground after buying shoes and eating pizza.

Today was a beautiful day and we spent over 2 hours at the park near our house. The light was harsh and the shadows/highlights heavy but I still like these pictures of sand eating Blake!!

Today was a beautiful day. The temperature was in the 60’s. Blake and I drove over to a local park that is to far to walk to but has tons of fun stuff to play on.
I can’t believe how much he has grown. He climbs up the stairs with ease and doesn’t even always hold on while going down.
He jumps and runs
Thankfully he is developing at least a little bit of healthy fear. It makes me worry less when he’s up on a structure 10+ feet up. I used to have to stand under every opening near him so if he flung himself off I could catch him. Here he went a little over board and was creeping down the slide hanging on for dear life.
He’s still a climber
and loves mimicking the older kids

Why oh why do things happen that I want to photography seem to always occur in horrible light? Today was a beautiful day but the afternoon light was very harsh!
Blake is starting to recognize letters and numbers and touches them when he sees them.
I also attempted week 7 of the Two Peas Tutorial. The assignment is about macro photography. I do not have a true macro lens so I used the 75mm end of my new 28-75mm. The next two pictures fit the loose definition of a small item larger than life-size.
Next I realized that my child is like me. I always stick my tongue out when I’m concentrating!
Geese. I strongly dislike geese but they are pretty.

Have I mentioned how much the weather and sunshine affect my mood because they really really do. Today was an amazingly beautiful 65 degree day! The babe and I walked/rode his tricycle over to the park. A few of the kids shared their kites. It was so much fun!

Today was story time at our local library. We attended the 2+ session for the first time. At one point Blake was more interested in standing on his head than he was in the book the librarian was reading but he’s learning.
There is a playground right outside the doors of the library. Blake was more interested in the ice and left over snow than the structure today.
After story time we went to the craft store and picked up some Valentine’s Day supplies
I had fun spelling his name in the sequins.
While this last one was edited just as much as the ones above it was taken in full manual. A big step for me.
